Mostaza Burger Review

So if you find yourself in Argentina I’d like to take this opportunity to recommend Mostaza for a delicious fast food burger option. The overall vibe is like McDonalds was updated to be more local but still effective. Everything in the place was clean, the staff was friendly, the ordering systems all worked and food was delicious. Here’s my review of Mostaza burgers and fries from Mendoza, Argentina. Mostaza is spanish for Mustard or Yellow Mustard. There is a hint of a mustard taste on the burgers but it’s not enough to bug you if you hate mustard. The burger (keep reading…)

Crown Burger’s Cheeseburger Combo – Fries and Dr Pepper

Today I had the chance to experience Salt Lake City’s Crown Burger which is always a great place to park for a Jazz Game.  I took my 2 year old and we enjoyed Cheeseburgers, Fries and Drinks.  I love the Crown Burger fry sauce!  It’s got fun chunkies in it that add to the flavor and make me want to double dip (even though I am very much against it, even when I eat alone). The bun at Crown Burger doesn’t handle the burger well.  By the time you finish your burger the bun has given up and you are (keep reading…)

JCWs Cheeseburger and Fries Combo

JCWs Cheeseburger and Fries Combo is Classic

One of my favorite burger places happens to be located just down from my office in American Fork, Utah.  JCWs is wonderfully delicious at every level.  The french fries are always perfectly cooked and are thick enough to handle fry sauce or ketchup and a great combination of crispy and soft.  Part of what makes JCWs so good is the atmosphere.  It’s not a greasy burger joint yet it’s not a fancy restaurant so that means it’s a great place to sit down and enjoy a cheeseburger and fries. Today I decided to go with the basic “All American Cheeseburger (keep reading…)

Five Guys is the best burger in town

Five Guys is the best burger in town….any town!

If you haven’t heard about Five Guys, let me be the first to say that it is the Best Burger in Town!…..any town!  For about $10 a meal (including fries and a drink) you will experience a deliciously hand-made burger, real potato fries and an atmosphere that makes everything better.  They have two locations in Utah now, both in Salt Lake County.  My favorite is in Sandy by SouthTowne Mall.  When you walk into a burger joint the best way to tell if it’s good is the line.  Today’s line up was almost out to the door at 12:30pm.  The (keep reading…)

Little Acorn’s Shadow Fighter

Little Acorn’s Shadow Fighter in Spanish Fork

Little Acorn is a fun little burger joint in Spanish Fork right before Spanish Fork Canyon (sharing a parking lot with the last little gas station before you’re in the canyon).  It’s a unique place with the vibes or an old diner meets and old chinese food place meets the last restaurant you could pick. Their special “Shadow Fighter” burger is where the real magic happens. So here’s our Shadow Fighter burger review from Little Acorn in Spanish Fork. The bread was a nice change from the typical burger bun and although there was nothing special about the burger or condiments, (keep reading…)

Rubio’s All-American Burger Taco and Fish Taco Plate

Today was an interesting twist in my Burger Blog chronicles.  Rubio’s is pretty new to Utah and American Fork was somehow blessed with their presence.  I absolutly love their Fish Tacos but this is a Burger Blog not a fish taco site so here goes my review. I’ll admit I was a little nervous about the idea of a taco burger but the picture made it look quite nice and so I ordered the lunch special and was pleasantly surprised by the experience.  The meat was half-a-patty with their regular dressing, lettuce and shell.  The first bite was very flavorful (keep reading…)

Stein’s Burger at Stein Eriksen Lodge

Stein’s Burger at Stein Eriksen Lodge

Stein Eriksen is noted a world-class resort.  Their 5 Star rating and multiple awards ranks them among the world’s best lodges and resorts but the big question has to be how is their burger?  The Stein Burger is one of the most popular items on their menu (according to multiple waitress sources) and they’ve got all the quality foods necessary to make a beautifully amazing burger so today’s adventure was to Park City, Utah for the Stein Eriksen Lodge’s Stein Burger.  Note that it is only served in their bar and outside dining, not in their restaurant. Stein’s burger was (keep reading…)

Chubby’s Southern BBQ Burger

Chubby’s Southern BBQ Burger

Good news burger lovers, Chubby’s Cafe in Pleasant Grove has a new burger on the menu and it’s delicious.  The Southern BBQ burger is newly listed as a burger option on the menu so it seems to make sense that it becomes today’s burger review.  You already know I’m a fan of Chubby’s and dream of their fries on a regular basis but I still had my doubts about the their take on a bbq burger.  With that said, here we go. When you take the deliciousness of a Chubby’s bun, add a nicely cooked beef patty, some house-made bbq (keep reading…)

Red Robin Tavern Double – Pig Out Style

Red Robin Tavern Double – Pig Out Style

Well Red Robin, you’ve peaked my curiosity once again and this time it’s called the Tavern Double.  By itself, the Tavern Double is simply a Red Robin gourmet burger with two patties but then they went and added cool options like “Pig Out Style”, “Cry Baby Style” and “Fiery Ghost Style”.  When faced with tears, fire or a pig I’ll always side with pig so Pig Out Style Tavern Double from Red Robin is today’s burger for review. I’ve always enjoyed the Red Robin atmosphere but have had such varying experiences based on location, time of day and general mood (keep reading…)

Shake Shack ShackBurger at JFK

Shake Shack ShackBurger Review

Shake Shack is a heavenly delicious burger and hot dog joint first established in 2004 as a food cart and then was granted a spot on the street where miracles continued to happen one burger at a time. From super awesome chef Danny Meyer and with an emphasis on having friendly, wonderful people working there, Shake Shack is a special destination. I visited the Shake Shack at JFK and was guided to the ShackBurger for my first time. A ShackBurger is a medium cooked cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato and ShackSauce. The burger itself is amazingly juicy and hand pressed with (keep reading…)
