Stein Eriksen is noted a world-class resort. Their 5 Star rating and multiple awards ranks them among the world’s best lodges and resorts but the big question has to be how is their burger? The Stein Burger is one of the most popular items on their menu (according to multiple waitress sources) and they’ve got all the quality foods necessary to make a beautifully amazing burger so today’s adventure was to Park City, Utah for the Stein Eriksen Lodge’s Stein Burger. Note that it is only served in their bar and outside dining, not in their restaurant.
Stein’s burger was a gorgeously presented burger with plenty of looks from the neighboring tables as the burger came out. All of the toppings were fresh and the meat was cooked to medium to allow for plenty of color and flavor. The cheese was an aged white cheddar which was a little overpowering on a few bites. I actually took off some about half-way through the meal because I was done with the overwhelming “aged flavor” and wanted more burger taste. The bun was fabulous and made it all the way to the end of the meal. The crispy onions were some of the best I’ve ever had and complemented the meal perfectly. The ketchup, fancy dijon mustard and mayo were served in individual glass bottles which always makes you want to tip the waiter a little more.
For an appetizer we had the Mussels and Fries. They are amazing and I almost loved them more than the burger. Other than taking a really long time to actually get our order I can easily recommend Stein’s burger if you are in the area and would like a nice and somewhat fancy burger experience. I don’t know if it’s worth the drive just for the meal but if you are in Park City, add it to your list for sure.
