The Wing Ding Burger

Time to head out to Eagle Mountain, Utah to try a specialty burger called the Wing Ding at Six Sisters Deli & Grille. You’re probably asking yourself if you read that right. Yes you did! Eagle Mountain and the Wing Ding. It’s a burger and saucy chicken strip loving each other between a toasted and lightly buttered bun with cheese, lettuce and tomato making your taste buds jump for joy.

Six Sisters Deli in Eagle Mountain, Utah offers a New York style Italian deli experience with an understanding that a deli in Utah better have a darn good burger too. The Wing Ding lunch special happens to be the brainchild of the owner, Monica, and is this month’s special. Here’s the review:

The Wing Ding is a chicken strip with your choice of sauce (spicy, sweet or something in between), beef patty, cheese, lettuce and tomato. You can add some ranch or blue cheese dressing to really make it a delight or go with no extra sauce. Today’s burger was a sweet & sassy sauce (I just don’t like spicy) and I skipped the ranch/blue cheese option. The chicken was delicious, crispy, fresh and saucy. One bite and I was hooked. The bun was lightly toasted and buttered and brought it all together beautifully. The lettuce and veggies at the bottom added some nice texture too. It’s one of those burgers that you look at and wonder if it can all work together or not. Then you take a bite and realize you may need to add chicken to all your future burgers.

Now let’s talk about the fries. Six Sisters Deli has some really good fries. They offer sweet potato fries and classic fries or you can mix them (the obvious choice). The classic fries have a uniquely delicious seasoning on them and the sweet potato fries have a nice salt addition that makes them DELICIOUS!! The fry sauce is heavy on the mayo side of things so if you love the fry sauce I’d recommend bringing your own. You have ketchup available too so it’s not the end of the world for fry sauce fans.

Six Sisters is also home to some delicious baked goods so if you have an extra $2.99 and want to blow it on a cookie, you’ll find some fresh cookies at the counter. I added the chocolate peanut butter to today’s meal and it was a nice way to start the meal…like a cookie appetizer.

Overall, the Wing Ding is delicious and the next burger at Six Sisters Deli is for sure going to be their Bacon Cheeseburger (it looked amazing on some other tables). Go give it a try and let us know what you think.
