Parker’s Drive-In located in on State St. in American Fork has been around since 1953. Famous for their ice cream and sundaes, Parker’s also offers a Jumbo Cheeseburger or Jumbo Hamburger and thick, fresh french fries that go well with their refined fry sauce. I went with the Jumbo Burger to make sure I gave my first trip to Parker’s Drive-In a strong effort and it was a huge meal. I was the only one in the place so everything was fresh and I watched them make everything. The burger was Average at best and it’s because of the meat. They skimped on the meat quality so rather than having a juicy, fresh tasting burger it was a dry, low quality burger. The toppings were fresh, the bun was good but the core of the burger, the meat, was lacking.
Parker’s Drive-In Service: The service was friendly and exactly what you’d expect from a Drive-In in American Fork.
Now let’s talk about their french fries. I got a large order of fries and could barely finish them. The fries were delicious and their fry sauce is a refined blend of ingredients that add some flavor the their classic fries. Parker’s Drive-In offers the thicker, no skin fries and they come in a platter not in a bag (always a great sign). Overall it was a fun experience but certainly not a top tier burger joint! Thank goodness for Utah County ice cream.
I grew up with Parker’s burgers and fries. I now live in Southern California and every time I return home to visit family or friends I ALWAYS have to stop and get a Parker’s burger and fries. I always add extra fry sauce to the burger and I request it with added onions but I have a hard time finding a better burger in the state. It is a must stop for me once or twice a year.
I happen to know the meat is bought daily from a local grocery store. Most restaurants are frozen patties. Sorry you had a bad experience with the meat. Hope next time you have a better burger. Try the range burger.

The building was leveled last week. It is the end of an era.
