You’ve seen the commercial for the new Grilled Cheese bacon burger being the first grilled cheese sandwich you can feel comfortable buying in front of others without being looked at as a child but is the Grilled Cheese Bacon Burger from Carl’s Jr. as good as it looks? Â Great question.
I had the Grilled Cheese Bacon Burger combo for lunch yesterday and was initially excited. Â The ad makes the burger look appealing and meaty (both Carl’s Jr. signature traits). Â It comes in 3 main sizes Single, Double or Six Dollar Burger (half pound) and the price for the combo is a respectable $4.99, $5.99 or $6.99. Â Even the Carl’s Jr. employee said it’s been a top seller as of late.
The Grilled Cheese Bacon burger was served quickly and looked delicious. Â The bread on this burger is amazingly wonderful with the right combination of chewiness, softness and buttery goodness. Â The burger looked delicious and the cheese and baking were oozing out (a very good thing). Â It’s a good looking sandwich but is it really a Grilled Cheese Bacon BURGER? That is the question.
Halfway through this burger I realized that if I was eating it at 7am it would have been amazing. Â I was eating it for lunch and bought it because of the word burger. Â The Review: Â The Grilled Cheese Bacon Burger is a delicious breakfast sandwich but NOT an amazing burger.
As a burger it’s a 6 out of 10.
As a breakfast sandwich it’s a 9 out of 10.
I was really NOT impressed with this burger at all. It was dry and didnt seem to have much flavor to it at all. I like my burgers saucy I guess.
It’s Hardee’s! Hardee’s! Lol, I’m just kidding. I agree with Madmiah but it wasn’t becuase it was dry. I kinda tasted what they were going for with the grilled cheese part but that white cheese sucked and the burger wasn’t as flavorful as it could be.
