If you haven’t heard about Five Guys, let me be the first to say that it is the Best Burger in Town!…..any town! For about $10 a meal (including fries and a drink) you will experience a deliciously hand-made burger, real potato fries and an atmosphere that makes everything better. They have two locations in Utah now, both in Salt Lake County. My favorite is in Sandy by SouthTowne Mall. When you walk into a burger joint the best way to tell if it’s good is the line. Today’s line up was almost out to the door at 12:30pm. Here’s the picture
The reason this burger is so good is it’s the whole package. The bun is perfect (soft and lasts throughout the meal). The meat is tenderly delicious (not overly greasy and “melts in your mouth”. The toppings are fresh, fresh, fresh and you can pick whatever you want. The service is friendly, professional and FAST!  The atmosphere is fun and focused on enjoying a good burger, nothing else.
For all you fry sauce lovers, their fry sauce is very similar to JCWs (tangy, sweet not much mayo) and with the amazing fries the meal is filling and wonderful. The three Utah locations are South Towne, Fort Union, and West Valley. Plan on about $10 per person and enjoy the free peanuts while you wait.

And I hear that Five Guys will be coming here to Orem/Provo as well!!! Yay!!!
I am not a burger guy at all but I have already been there four times. I suppose, freshness of the food was the main attractor. The only thing that I want to warn you is that if you are not used to yelling out people’s order number on top of the lungs, this might be a little annoyance. Get ear plugs or enjoy your burger outside. It is worth it.
